On Tuesday, I turned 25 years old. When I was younger, I never would have thought that by the time I turned 25, I’d be married with a beautiful baby and a home of my own. I feel so lucky that my life has turned out the way it did, and I welcome my 25th year with a full heart.
When I woke up, a huge present was waiting for me: A gorgeous espresso machine! Ever since our trip to New Zealand, normal coffee in the morning hasn’t been cutting it. Now I can make flat whites at home!
My expectations for my birthday plans this year weren’t set very high. The week before, on several occasions, I had forgotten about it altogether. I chalked it up to being a new mum and being too busy and too focused on Ruby to even think about myself. I imagined I’d have a nice day out with my family and a quiet dinner at home. Little did I know, my wonderful husband had planned a surprise birthday BBQ. By the time we got home from our outing, a group of my very special friends were waiting for me! We spent the evening grilling burgers, digging into my Edible Arrangement that my dad brought over and playing Cards Against Humanity. It made me feel so great to know that there are people out there who love me this much and wanted to celebrate my birthday with me. I couldn’t have asked for a better night.
I also want to say thank you to all of the wonderful birthday messages I have received over social media. I have never felt so loved and it means so much to me. Thank you to my friends and family for their company, and thank you so much to my husband, Jaxin for spoiling me and just being a kick ass guy! I love you all!
