Ever since the fire at the Love Before Glory and Key Street HQ, Jaxin has been working so hard to get everything at the new place situated. Today, he took the day off to spend with us, and because it was such a beautiful spring day we decided to go for a stroll around Balboa Island. We used to spend a lot of days and nights walking around there pre-Ruby, and we’re trying to make the effort to keep going on more of a regular basis. Here are a few snaps from our outing:
Had a little bit of lunch and a coffee at Wilma’s Patio. Ruby loved teething on a watermelon rind.
Ruby and Jaxin stopped to examine and smell the roses.
Ruby loved squishing her toes in the sand. I’m looking forward to many more of these family days to come this summer!
Today is international women’s day and I would just like to take a minute to acknowledge a few people.
First, my mother. She is one tough cookie and has always busted balls to help the people she loves. She is the epitome of a strong woman and I hope to be on her level one day. She is also incredibly generous and the best Grammy a girl could ask for.
Next, my beautiful daughter, Ruby. She is the happiest little thing on the planet and lights up my world. She has brought new meaning to my life and I hope that I can be the best mum for her and raise her to be a bright and independent woman.
Last (but definitely not least), my husband, Jaxin. He’s not a woman but he is the man who has made me a wife and a mother, and for that, I can’t thank him enough. With his unconditional love and support, he has made me want to always be the best person I can be and has always treated me as an equal and a partner.
To all the other amazing women in my life, friends and family, here’s to you! Love and respect yourself because you are loved and respected by others.
Happy International Women’s Day!
Despite the negative aspects of social media, I have decided to come back to Tumblr. I’m in the process of cleaning up my friends list on Facebook and I have made my Instagram private. This is a blog about my life. My friends and family are included in my posts and I hope you will be respectful in your comments and re-blogs. I enjoy sharing my life with the world, but I don’t want to regret my decision to do so.
Thank you for all the love and support.
